This morning's mood and sounds... 'Grave digger song' by the Mark Lanegan band. I quite simply love this understated session for 4AD in all of it's simplicity. Mark Lanegan's facial expressions are so intriguing, they tell a story in themselves. His posture, the way he stands and holds his body, steady and strong. Projecting his voice in such a gravelly yet powerful manner, he really does deliver a bold and intense performance. Also, his supporting band members hitting every note with immaculate precision, collectively illustrate the talented and experienced musicians that they are. A diverse array of artists each bringing something very different and distinct to the table, arranged together they end up producing such a high quality of sounds. An awesome session which I strongly recommend that you check out if you haven't already done so.
